Many people ask me what my favorite part about Taiwan is. For me, it’s an easy answer: Taiwanese Culture. From my first time coming to Taiwan, I was fascinated with the many Temples, captivating religious culture, and mostly the enthusiastic followers. I no longer classify myself under any religion, and by doing, I have allowed myself to look at Taiwanese religious culture in a new light and understanding. It’s beautiful. It’s pure. It’s selfless. Today I made my weekly trip to Lukang and took time to appreciate the Lukang Tian Hou Temple. It’s nice to finally be outside and in an element that makes me excited and gives me the thrill to share my enthusiasm towards Taiwan through film. I won’t call myself a Taoist or devote follower, but I love the principles behind the Mazu religion. I look forward to showing you all my short film of my thoughts towards the Sea Goddess Mazu!
